Master's Programs

Patterson School of Accountancy master’s programs are designed to provide a fifth year of accounting education that prepares graduates for careers in professional accounting and in other business fields.

We offer a three-hour CPA review course, which provides high-quality CPA exam preparation and a structured environment in which to study, as an elective option in all of our master's programs. Many of our students complete the CPA exam while earning their master’s degrees.

Doctoral Program

The PhD Program is designed as a 5-year program and currently supports students interested in archival, behavioral (both judgment and decision-making and experimental economics), or qualitative research in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, or managerial accounting.

Accountancy, Ph.D.

The Patterson School of Accountancy has produced approximately 130 Ph.D. graduates during its 55-year history. Our Ph.D. program is currently named among the nation's Top 10 doctoral accounting programs by CollegeChoice and The GradCafe.
